Our host Amanda Carpenter (Achill Management) talks about green buildings with guests Helen Heathfield, environmentalist and lead with the Islington Sustainable Energy Partnership, and Julie Hirigoyen, Chief Executive of the UK Green Building Council. We talk about green homes, green buildings and the associated challenges in between.

Her personal experience of green buildings comes from living at BedZED in south London, one of the first eco housing developments that celebrates its 16th birthday this year.
Julie is Chief Executive of the UK Green Building Council where she focuses on delivering lasting change within the building industry but engaging with her members, regulators and wider stakeholders. She has a background in sustainability having run and then sold a very successful sustainability consultancy , and is currently a commissioner for the Mayor of London’s London sustainable development commission.
