Law comes to the aid of ancient forests across the globe
Brian Rohan joined ClientEarth in February 2020 as the Head of the Forest and Climate Team, after having lived in Cambodia since 2003. In Cambodia, he headed a start-up initiative linking private investment, conservation management and local livelihoods, served as advisor on land rights, natural resources governance and community livelihoods issues, and managed the Ministry of Environment’s process to create Cambodia’s Environmental Code.
ClientEarth’s Forests and Communities work
Babette Brophy joined ClientEarth in February 2020 as an Australian-qualified lawyer, with the Forests and Climate Team. After working in wildlife law in Namibia and Australia, she now works with local partners to conserve forests through strengthening laws and developing community legal capacity in Liberia. Before joining ClientEarth, Babette completed an MPhil in Conservation Leadership at the University of Cambridge as a Gates Cambridge Scholar, was a Senior Lawyer advising the National Parks and Wildlife Services in Australia and established a novel wildlife law research program in Namibia.
